Have you heard about multi-factor authentication?

Wait… don’t close the page! It’s not techno babble. It’s actually a very smart way to protect your business.

You see, hackers are desperate to get into your email. Once they’re in, they can monitor what’s being said; set up forwarding filters so they can get a copy of your emails; and look for an opportunity to steal money from you.

Don’t think it won’t happen to your business. It’s surprisingly common. And multi-factor authentication is one of the ways to protect against it.

You know when you log onto a banking app, and it sends a text message to your phone with a secret code? That’s multi-factor authentication in action.

There are a number of different ways to do it, depending on the balance of security and convenience you’d like, and its a very string tool to not only deter potential hackers but also alert you to potential attempts.
